Iran’s president demands compliance with nuclear deal

Tehran, Aug 10 (Prensa Latina) Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi demanded from the European countries and the United States commitment to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) or nuclear deal, a HispanTV report highlighted on Tuesday.

Raisi clarified that point during a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron, to whom he reiterated his disagreement with the US violations and the inaction against them by the European side.

The Iranian president ratified that in any negotiation with the rest of the JCPOA signatories, the defense of the rights and interests by the Iranian country will be present.

At the time, Macron congratulated Raisi on his inauguration and indicated that through cooperation, Iran and France can play a role in achieving peace and stability in the region.

Regarding the United States’ unilateral withdrawal from the JCPOA, the French head of State said that a solution could emerge when negotiations on the issue are resumed.
