According to Nezamedin Mousavi, Spokesman for the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament), at least 115 officials from other nations and entities will be present at the inauguration of the president-elect, scheduled for Thursday, August 5.
Ten heads of State, 20 presidents of Parliament, 11 foreign ministers and 10 ministers are among the guests, he said.
Eleven other international organizations, among them the United Nations, the European Union, the Central American Integration System and the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, ratified their participation in the ceremony.
Mousavi revealed that some 400 journalists, and local and foreign correspondents requested to cover the swearing-in ceremony, but only 170 accepted due to the risk of expansion of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Ebrahim Raisi won the June 18 presidential elections with more than 18 million or 62 percent of valid votes.
