Biden said Tuesday his administration envisaged making the Covid-19 vaccine mandatory for workers.
According to local press, the White House will take a measure similar to what NY Mayor Bill de Blasio´s one, who will force New Yorkers to get vaccinated in mid-September or undergo weekly tests.
The United States could report in coming four to six weeks a rise of up to 200,000 cases per day due to the ultrafast spread of Delta variant, causing 83% of new infections in the country.
Dr. Tom Frieden, former director of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), warned the country is approaching a hard time with the possibility the forecasts are met while ‘vaccination hits a wall’.
