Dr. Francisco Duran, national director of Epidemiology at MINSAP, explained that 35,649 people are in hospitals nationwide, including 35,327 who are clinically stable, 323 who are being treated in intensive care units, 192 who are seriously ill and 130 who are in a critical condition.
The specialist added that the total number of contagions since March 2020 has risen to 308,599 and the death toll increased to 2,137.
In his regular press briefing on television, Dr. Duran added that 8,883 people were discharged from Cuban hospitals on Wednesday, so the number of recuperated patients rose to 270,757.
Cuba’s chief epidemiologist informed that 8,388,988 anti-Covid-19 doses have been administered in the Caribbean nation through different forms of research, such as health intervention, intervention study and clinical trials.
