In a message to their counterparts in the Caribbean nation, the Union of Friendship Associations of Vietnam (VUFO) and Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association (AAVC) blamed that ‘genocidal and inhumane’ policy for the hardships suffered by the Cuban people and demanded its immediate stop.

Referring to protests on July 11, they indicated that they have the same origin and same intentions and condemned ‘all attempts and acts of provocation based on false information and aimed at destabilizing the situation in the country’.

For those who love peace throughout the world, Cuba is a symbol of international solidarity and strong will to fight for peace, independence, sovereignty and the dignity of man, VUFO and AAVC said.

The Vietnamese people will never forget the profound feeling of solidarity and unconditional help Cuba has given us in the most difficult moments and will continue side by side with it, whatever the situation may be, the message assures.
