The official explained that they have already sold 700 tons of lithium, billed on a pilot scale in Uyuni’s salt mine, in Potosi department, to those markets, which produce lithium ion batteries, Ahora el Pueblo newspaper reported.

In addition, the company Yacimientos de Litio Boliviano is operating the Lithium Carbonate Pilot Plant in the town of Llipi, in the above mentioned department.

This resource is one of the most important minerals promoted by the Government of President Luis Arce to reactivate the national economy.
