He also called for better arrangement of commerce, better protection of the elderly and children, and a review of isolation protocols for suspected cases and contacts, one of the nation’s most successful strategies in the face of the pandemic.
‘Failure to comply with the measures to fight Covid-19 cannot be allowed. With the approach of Hurricane Elsa, we must be even stricter,’ the head of State stressed in an analysis with authorities from Cuba’s westernmost territory.
In that sense, he called to form two work teams with a single command to face what he described as a tense moment, according to the Twitter account of the Presidency.
Meanwhile, Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero stressed the need to decentralize plans to fight the disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
‘We have to leave routine aside, and move on to a higher moment of combat,’ he highlighted.
