The official explained that the extremist militants had gathered since Wednesday in different parts of the territory to attack the area of Ghorian, and hundreds of them began the assault at nightfall.
Of that group, about 20 assailants were killed in the clashes, while a car bomb was also neutralized by security forces before reaching its target, Saboor added.
Local security officials disclosed that in addition to 20 Taliban killed, 10 others were wounded, although they did not comment on possible casualties within government forces during the attack.
