In his speech in the town of La Crosse, Wisconsin, Biden described his proposal as a proof that it´s possible to create high-paying jobs if congressmen approve it.
Biden said: ¨This is a generational investment to modernize our infrastructure, creating millions of good-paying jobs, and positions the United States to compete with the rest of the world in the 21st century, because China is a way outworking us in terms of infrastructure.¨
Although Biden champions his plan, he really longed for a more comprehensive proposal; however, GOPers only agreed to limit it to traditional constructions such as roads, bridges and ports.
Democrats are deeply concerned about that other priorities on climate change, healthcare, education and other issues are left out, but they do not have enough backing to push such a comprehensive package in Congress.
Past Thursday, during the presentation of the bipartisan agreement reached by 10 senators from both parties, Joe Biden warned that he would not sign up if they did not include funds for social spending, but on Saturday he said that he would sign up in fear of Conservatives´ support refuse.
