‘That many persist, as if by inertia, in presenting us with unilateral demands, does not honor the ability to properly assess what is happening,’ the diplomat said in an article reproduced in the Kommersant newspaper and Russian edition of Russia in Global Affairs journal on Monday.
Lavrov emphasized that Russia has long undertaken an independent development path, prioritizing the protection of national interests and willing to negotiate with foreign partners only on an equal basis.
He stressed that these principles are the basis of all documents of the Russian Federation on foreign policy, national security and defense.
According to the Russian foreign minister, Moscow has clearly indicated that it perceives the policies of the United States and the European Union as a new reality, so it is progressing in the development of its economy sector and other areas on the basis of the inadmissibility of reliance on unreliable partners.
