In the Senate Committee in charge of overseeing government´s management of the pandemic (CPI), Ricardo Miranda also presented some sms received from Cabinet directors and a Company for purchasing Covaxin vaccine doses on Friday.

Previously, Miranda spoke about this issue with the Federal Prosecutor’s Office, which is also probing into the case and identified suspicions of crime and health risk in the operation.

In other messages, Miranda disclosed some talks with his brother, Congressman Luis Miranda, in which he said that other Health Ministry´s high-ranking officials were bought off.

Recently, lawmaker Miranda told CNN Brasil that he personally brought to President Jair Bolsonaro ‘conclusive evidence’ about irregularities in the purchase of Covaxin vaccines.

‘The president knew there was a crime in all this operation,’ said Miranda, while assuring that, after the meeting, Bolsonaro vowed to immediately activate the Federal Police.

Miranda pointed out that he made his choice to go to Bolsonaro because his brother Ricardo was being pressured for bucking to accept the dark agreements.

‘When I realized the case was pretty serious and high-ranking officials could be deeply involved, I talked to the president. I did it at the request of my brother, who did not trust anyone and was afraid,’ Miranda stressed.
