According to a press release, the director general of Bilateral Affairs of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Emilio Lozada, and the head of the Spanish portfolio for Ibero-America, Rafael Garranzo, agreed on the positive state of ties between the two countries.
The representatives held official conversations within the framework of the Political Consultation Mechanism signed between the two foreign ministries, the Cubaminrex portal specifies.
Both headlines reviewed the international political situation, development cooperation and ratified their interest in continuing to develop economic, commercial, financial and cooperation ties.
The Cuban side thanked the Spanish Executive for the support of the resolution Necessity to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States Government against the Caribbean nation, which is about to be presented at the United Nations.
The European delegation was also made up of Ángel Martín, ambassador of Spain in Havana and Carlos Blasco Bernáldez, deputy director general for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean of the Iberian Foreign Ministry.
Meanwhile, on the Cuban side, Nelson Tamayo, deputy director of Europe and Canada of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also participated.
