The groups of the chamber unanimously passed (with ammendments) a proposition not of law presented by the Bloque Nacionalista Gallego by means of which the Parliament urges the Xunta to show its support to the end of Washington’s political hostility against Cuba.
Simultaneously, it highlighted its support to the initiative of donating syringes for the vaccination against Covid-19 in Cuba.
The representatives -Prensa Latina learnt, urged the Galician government to ‘express condemnation for ongoing blockade in their relations with US institutions’.
Likewise, they called for a repeal ‘as soon as possible’ of the Helms-Burton and Torricelli Acts and urged the Spanish Government to do the same.
The Parliament also decided to send the resolution to the Xunta, the Cuban and US consulates in the Galician community and the embassies of both countries in Madrid.
The fund raising campaign for the purchase of three million syringes to send to Cuba is close to its goal and shows very positive numbers.
