The Assembly’s Foreign Affairs Committee expressed profound dissatisfaction in a statement, and considered it another act of interference to hinder the development of the Asian country.
It said that with such legal instrument Washington overreacts on the theory of China supposedly being a threat and in an effort to keep its supremacy and nourish a cold war.
¨As the world comes to a time of changes and trouble, treating China as an imaginary enemy is against the general trend¨, the Committee noted in the press release. The lawmakers emphasized that the US law is charged with ¨lies and ideological prejudices,¨ and reaffirmed Beijing´s commitment to peaceful development and opposition to the visit of three US legislators to Taiwan.
