During a television speech on Sunday, Maduro condemned the massacres of social leaders and human rights violations committed by military forces against demonstrators.
‘I ask global human rights organizations to step in to protect Colombian young people´s life’, and urged them to go beyond formal statements in which they only express concern.
Maduro stressed that Venezuela raises its voice to the international community so as to condemn the massacre against Colombian people.
The Venezuelan leader assured that President Iván Duque declared war upon his own people, after massive riots and in which, according to official figures, about 3,000 police violence victims have been reported.
‘No more massacre! We say so as brotherly peoples. We see it from the border. We´re brothers of Colombia and we carry it in our hearts as children of Bolívar,’ Maduro stated.
