The cargo, delivered to the Indian Red Cross Society, contains 2,672 boxes of medicines and protective items, All India Radio reported.
The shipment includes 18 types of medicines to treat Covid-19, such as antibiotics, paracetamol, various kinds of injections and hand sanitizers, according to a statement from Bangladesh’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
On May 6, Bangladesh sent 10,000 vials of the antiviral Remdesivir amid the unprecedented peak of Covid-19 cases in India.
Recently, Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed her sympathy for the Indian people and reiterated her support in every possible way.
