In a statement, the CP points out that hundreds of deaths, including children, thousands of wounded and destruction of the infrastructure of the Gaza Strip are the result of Israeli bombs and rockets in the escalation of hostilities in the last week.

The text points out that it is ‘the physical elimination and ethnic cleansing of the peoples who have inhabited these lands for centuries, displacing them from their homes, neighborhoods and territories, enclosing them in huge ghettos such as the Gaza Strip.’

The spark that ignited the confrontation was the attempt, once again, to evict Palestinians from their homes in an entire neighborhood of Jerusalem, which they have inhabited for centuries, denounces the statement, which criticizes the support of the United States and reactionary governments.

It also warns that ‘the press and TV controlled by the empire and the right wing put the attacked and the aggressors on the same level. They equate Palestinian defense with Israel’s modern means of destruction and death.’
