Duran said in a press briefing on television that seven people died on Thursday as a result of the disease.

With these figures, the total number of contagions in Cuba since March 2020 has increased to 121,838 and the death toll rose to 785, the doctor noted, saying lethality rate is 0.64%.

Dr. Duran added that 6,453 active patients are in hospitals nationwide. The recovery rate is 94%.
