After attending the beginning of vaccination to the elderly with Down syndrome, Sagasti showed much concern about three cases detected among more than two million doses applied, in which the protocol setting out that vaccinator must show full syringe to patient was violated.

In cases of non-compliance with protocol, we will be extremely severe, he said, while confirming that the Ministry of Health is investigating into reported cases and ‘we will make sure that it will not happen again.’

Sagasti added that any violation of rigorous vaccination protocol will be administratively punished by Health Ministry, and criminally by justice.
