This aggression ‘reinforces the constant hostility by the United States Government towards Cuba,’ the group of activists from social and political organizations that are members of that regional bloc denounced in a letter to the Cuban Embassy in Brasilia.

After describing the terrorist attack, the group charged that despite the seriousness of the armed aggression, US authorities ‘have not provided information’ about it.

The group recalled that the attack was perpetrated ‘in the context of the tightening of the US imperialist policy against the Cuban people and it cannot dissociate itself from the blockade imposed against Cuba for more than 60 years, with terrible consequences for the daily life of the Cuban people.’

Therefore, in addition to repudiating the military attack, ‘we, the Brazilian social movements, stand in solidarity with the resistance of Cuba’ that even fights against the challenges posed by the blockade.

ALBA Movementos warned that, in the context of the pandemic, during which Cuban researchers are striving to develop Covid-19 vaccines, Washington has not reduced the tightening of its unilateral measures and the aggressive policy against Cuba.
