2,300 police officers were deployed around Lomo de Corvina, in the municipality of Villa El Salvador, on the southern of Lima, an intangible plot of land that lacks conditions to build due to its despicable subsoil.

As a large part of homeless squatters did not accept the order to leave, so riots broke out in which police fired tear gas and civilians tried to restrain police forces by throwing stones.

After noon, General Cervantes announced that the eviction had ended 17 days after the squatting, where 11 people were arrested and four officers slightly injured.

Neighbors from urban areas close to the eviction site reported that, while chasing the homeless squatters, the police fired tear gas affecting those who had nothing to do with it.
