The main issue of the biennial event, which for the first time is being held virtually, is: ‘The University Focused on the Sustainable Development of its Environment: Responsibilities and Projections in the New Scenarios.’

A topic aligned with the current context, when contemporary societies need, from science, to build a better, prosperous and sustainable world, noted Isabel Cristina Torres, rector of the university.

Scientists and researchers from Ecuador, Canada, the United States, France, China, Mexico and other countries will discuss in symposiums on demographic studies, human talent management, entrepreneurship and linkages, intelligent tourist destinations, sustainable use and management of agricultural ecosystems.

Torres emphasized that during the meeting, six deals will be signed with entities and universities of Colombia, Mexico, Peru and the United States, which will contribute to the strengthening of international academic relations in different areas of knowledge.

In addition, the 15th International Congress on Foreign Languages, Communication and Culture and the 15th International Seminar on Canadian Studies: Canada, Managing Social and Cultural Diversity in Times of Pandemic will be held.

Another meeting of equal relevance is the International Symposium on Tourism Management (GESTUR), which has among its essential goals that of favoring the sustainable development of tourism through Science.
