This main objective of the project is to improve the living conditions of the productive workers and the remainders of the sector, with a view to rescuing strength for the agricultural works.

Fernandez highlighted the recent workshop held at the Sugar Development Center, belonging to AZCUBA, in which several national and provincial companies of the Group presented materials and tools used in housing construction.

According to Fernandez, the workshop, led by AZCUBA president Julio Andres Garcia, was an important means of exchange and link between the entity, the Ministry of Construction and the Universities, also taking part in the program.

The progress of this program was considered essential to the development of the sugar harvests and the agricultural production in this sector, formerly driving force of the national economy, which came to contribute annually more than 85 percent of the foreign exchange earnings.
