The meeting will bring together government officials, international organizations, land users, and experts in soil science and biodiversity.
The main goal of the GSOBI21 will be to fill knowledge gaps, identify solutions to global challenges through the improvement of soil biodiversity and promote debate among policy makers, food producers, scientists, professionals and other stakeholders. .
FAO Director General QU Dongyu will open the symposium. In addition to other interventions by high-level experts, a session dedicated to the actions of the private sector on soil biodiversity and health and a review of the state of the world’s biodiversity of this resource is planned.
