The document expresses support for the Cuban people and government in the fight against the US government’s attempts ‘to pass off as internal opposition a handful of individuals who represent only their sponsors in Washington and Miami.’
It rejects the use of the US Embassy in Havana to interfere in Cuba’s internal affairs in violation of diplomatic regulations.
In the letter, Venceremos condemns Washington’s tightening of the economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba, even at times of Covid-19.
It also opposes the US State Department’s practice of making lists of countries that it ‘groundlessly’ accuses of promoting terrorism, including Cuba, ‘which resolutely rejects all forms of terrorism.’
The Russian movement described as cynical Washington’s campaign against the assistance of Cuban doctors to other countries, where they make ‘an important contribution to the common fight against Covid-19, other dangerous diseases and natural disasters,’ it noted.
Venceremos denounced the unilateral sanctions imposed by some States individually, and supported the proposals from Russia, China, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Cuba, Venezuela and Iran to immediately lift all types of blockades and measures against sovereign countries.
