The 43-page report, corresponding to the fiscal year 2020, is the first one published by the Joe Biden administration.
The text accuses the Cuban Government of alleged restrictions on the right to peaceful assembly, as well as religious freedom and human trafficking, among other allegations.
Every year, the document deals with events, corruption cases, denunciations from organizations and conflicts in nearly 200 countries around the world.
For 40 years, the US Congress has enacted a law mandating the Secretary of State to prepare the document and send it to Congress annually.
