Russia Denounces at UN Sequels of Global Interference
United Nations, Jan 10 (Prensa Latina) Russia denounced today in the United Nations Security Council the global instability and violence generated by the interventionist policy that characterizes the United States.
Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vitaly Churkin detailed in an open debate on conflict prevention the impact of the violation of sovereignty by Washington in several parts of the world.
The invasion of Iraq in 2003 not only destabilized the Middle East but also originated the Islamic State terrorist group, Churkin warned.
According to him, the 'U.S. adventurism' in Libya and Syria has also led to dire consequences, including the crisis of migrants and refugees in Europe.
The administration of President Barack Obama desperately seeks someone to blame for its failures, so it is regrettable that it uses the Council in that attempt, Churkin stated in reference to the White House accusations against Russia over conflicts such as those of Syria and Ukraine.
In the debate on conflict prevention and peacekeeping, the Russian diplomat called for not to ignore the impact of foreign interference in triggering violent crises.
Churkin reiterated that conflict prevention depends on the states, and the international aid should only be manifested when necessary.
