Russia Rejects U.S. Statements on its Role in Syria
Moscow, Jan 9 (Prensa Latina) Vicepresident of the Duma (lower Russian chamber), Irina Yarovaya, rejected today statements by the U.S. Department of Defense on the role of her country in the struggle against terrorism in Syria.
The statements of the head of the Pentagon, Ashton Carter to the North American Broadcasting Corporation, are a demonstration of hysteria, regarding the alleged null contribution of Moscow to antiterrorist struggle, said Yaravoya to channel Rossia 1.
It is hysteria from someone who, she pointed, is betrayed by his nerves to justify the failure of his policy against Syria and an attempt to deny Russia's contribution to the fight against terrorism, alluding to his support in the liberation of the city of Aleppo.
The reaction of Carter is more a response to the fact that Moscow prevented Washington from marking another zero in its attempt to annul national governments in the Middle East, denounced the deputy.
Also, the administration of president Barack Obama should, she affirmed, explain how were six-digit figures spent supposedly to eliminate terrorism, when the result is very different from what was expected, she com mented.
On the contrary, anti-Russian hysteria and the tensions fed against our people led to a situation in which, she stressed, a great part of the public in Europe now fears for the beginning of a third world war.l
We are going to act against terrorism, above adversities that may be created by western powers and their hypocrisy, as in no way will we cease in our objective to defend our national interests, said Yarovaya.
Most likely, the West will have to explain why it denies to combat terrorist formations in Syria, affirmed the Russian official referring to the negative of Washington against the group Jabhat Fatah As Sham, previous Al Nusra, in the Syrian city of Aleppo.
