Evo Morales Condemns British and Chilean Media Setup
La Paz, Dec 28 (Prensa Latina) Bolivian President Evo Morales repudiated Wednesday the decision by several press media from the United Kingdom and Chile, of publishing a fake video circulated over the social networks, in order to damage his image and prestige as Head of State.
'Once again, British and Chilean entrepreneurs are attacking Bolivia, with their lies, just as when they did in 1879, when the sea was stolen from us,' wrote Morales on his personal account on Twitter.
Morales wrote his message one day after British sensationalist newspaper Daily Mirror and some Chilean press media, circulated the audiovisual material in which the Bolivian President is supposedly watching a pornographic video, during a session in Le Hague, Holland.
In fact, the images were extracted from a tape recorded in Paraguay, where a councilman opened a video of this type.
'This is just a vulgar assembly destined to damage the image and prestige of the first Bolivian indigenous president, it denounces a bulletin of the department of the Presidency.
The note warns the dependence that this racist and xenophobic aggression is part of a new chapter in the called war of the fourth generation, based on the lie and defamation.
By means of the regular and diplomatic conduits, the Government will demand a rectification of this infamy and intolerable indignation against the Bolivian people, the authorities concluded.
