Venezuela Files Formal Protest to US Chage d'Affaire

During the meeting, Yanez urged the US official to respect diplomatic relations between countries, as reflected in the norms of international law and the Vienna Convention.
Similarly, he urged the government of President Donald Trump to respect Venezuela's democracy and sovereignty and reiterated that no country has the right to intervene in the political, economic and social affairs of Venezuela.
In late February, the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry handed over a letter to Robinson for actions that the Venezuelan authorities considered interventionists. Since his arrival in Caracas, the Chage D'Affaires has repeatedly meddled in the country's internal issues by using social media to promote discontent and stir people up against the government.
In addition, it constantly disqualifies the Venezuelan institutions, mainly the National Constituent Assembly, which the State interprets as an open interference in the internal affairs of this country.
