YPFB signed various contracts with companies Total E&P Bolivie, Pluspetrol Bolivia Corporation S.A., for prospecting and exploiting the Bloque Azero, located between Chuquisaca and Santa Cruz.
The projects will be implemented from 2018 to 2019 in the departments of Tarija, Chuquisaca and Santa Cruz in order to increase the reserves of hydrocarbon with the work of oil companies such as the English-Dutch company Shell, the Spanish company Repsol, the Russian company Gazprom, YPFB Andina, YPFB Chaco, Petrobras from Brazil and Pluspetrol from Argentina.
These companies will carry out the prospecting for hydrocarbons in the areas of Jaguar, Ñancahuazu, Boyuy, Rio Grande, La Peña, Iñiguazu, Sararenda, Itacaray, Los Monos, Caranda Profundo, Sipotindi and Tacobo.

La Paz, Dec 4 (Prensa Latina) Bolivian President Evo Morales highlighted the good results of the policy for hydrocarbons, which has benefited the Bolivian population.
During the signing of various agreements between foreign companies and the State-owned Yacimientos Petroliferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB) for prospecting and exploiting gas areas in the country, Morales said that foreign investment is guaranteed with nationalization.
