Mbete, who does not appear until the moment among the main contenders by the presidency of the ANC, affirmed that her political campaign continues in the bases and confirmed that she has approached other aspirants for the possibility of working together, although she did not specify with whom she has talked about the subject.
The National Conference, scheduled from December 16 to 20 in a town in the province of Gauteng yet to be specified, will elect the new leadership of the ANC, including the replacement of President Zuma.
Vice President Cyril Ramaphosa and veteran political ex-minister and former president of the African Union Nkozosana Dlamini Zuma aspire to lead the campaigns.
Others on the list are lawyer and politician Mathew Phosa, Presidency Minister Jeff Radebe, Minister Lindiwe Sisutu, ANC treasurer Zweli Mkhize, and Mbete parliament president, who appear to be far away from Ramaphosa and Dlamini Zuma.

Pretoria, Nov 11 (Prensa Latina) The president of the South African Parliament, Baleka Mbete, exhorted those aspiring to the presidency of the African National Congress (ANC) to maintain their work within the organization if they fail and respect the decision of the next National Assembly in December.
