Cuban Dancing Festival OLORUM 2017 Starts
Camaguey, Cuba, Apr 20 (Prensa Latina) The start of the 2017 OLORUM dancing Festival will be qualified by Thursday''s session with the participation of famous dancing groups from Cuba.
The inaugural gala at the main theater of this eastern Cuban provincial city, founded by the Spaniards in 1514, included the performance of the Folklore Ballet of Camaguey (BFC), the Cuban second dancing company at national level.
Reinaldo Echemendia, president of the Festival, expressed that the OLORUM is a way to take traditional popular culture and folklore to Cuban people.
Scheduled for until April 23 the event includes the presentations of the dancing group of the Higher Art Institute, the Babul Folklore Ballet, Endedans and other famous Cuban dancing groups.
There will also take place a master conference offered by Silvina Fabars, 2015 National Dancing Award winner.
This master conference, will be dedicated to the strengthening of the Cuban cultural identity, with expressions of dancing and music.
