US Parliamentary Delegation to Visit Sudan
20 de marzo de 2017, 16:38Khartoum, March 20 (Prensa Latina) A US Congress delegation will visit Sudan in October, 2017, in order to better learn about the warfare in this African nation, the local Sudan Tribune newspaper reported.
On the other hand, the Sudanese Parliament Spokesman, Ibrahim Ahmed Omer, who helped to the objective knowledge on the SudanÂ´s current situation, had announced his official visit to Washington last February, the source added.
Sudanese spokesman stated that during his official stay in the States he met with US congressmen well-known by their support for sanctions against Sudan, to whom he explained his country's policy and official efforts to end the domestic warfare and strive for some democratic reforms.
In addition, the Sudanese parliamentarian met with some US Congress members, State Department officials, leaders of various advocacy groups, as well as business leaders.
As stated by the Sudanese parliamentary spokesman, these gatherings revealed the officials' ignorance on Sudanese situation, which explained their adoption of negative attitudes against the country.
