Teaching of Caribbean Musical Styles to Be Promoted in Venezuela
17 de marzo de 2017, 18:31Caracas, Mar 17 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro asserted today that the history and teaching of the Caribbean musical styles would be promoted in the country through the movement Corazon Salsero (in reference to to Salsa music).
This action would contribute to know styles as Cuban guaguanco and guaracha, disseminating their history and interpretation, but emphasizing the Venezuelan musical tradition, the head of State said during the program The Hour of Salsa, broadcast by Radio Miraflores.
This powerful cultural project of life, joy, integration and creation has thecentral objective of promoting the salsa from the whole Caribbean, he remarked.
He also said it would promote the sound of the Venezuelan salsa throughout the world.
Maduro ordered the ministerial team to assess the movement's needs to provide it wit the necessary instruments to play the Caribbean styles.
Corazon Salsero will be lauched tomorrow, with a series of concerts at Diego Ibarra square, in Caracas.
