Most Swedish Express Rejection towards Donald Trump
Stockholm, Mar 15 (Prensa Latina) The 80 percent of Swedish citizens, expresses their rejection towards US President Donald Trump, according to a survey published by radio station Swedish Radio Wednesday.
The survey shows its results just a few weeks after the US President publicly expressed coarse and negative comments on Sweden, something that led Trump's popularity index to be drastically reduced.
Only 10 percent of the Swedish current population, is showing a positive attitude towards Trump. Six out of each 10 Swedidh citizens, believe that his presidency is going to be perjudicial for Sweden.
'Times before, other surveys on popularity of politicians at international level have been carried out in Sweden. But these numbers are clearly the the most negative numbers that we have ever seen,' said to Swedish Radio Soren Holmberg, a professor of Political Sciences in the University of Gotemburg, Sweden.
The controversy concerning Trump began when he mentioned Sweden in a meeting while he was speaking on refugees and terrorism in Europe, in allusion to a non-existent attack in the Scandinavian country.
The above mentioned statements did not fit in the Embassy of Sweden in the United States, therefore, the Swedish Embassy answered Trump across the social networks and Trump was provided all the information he needed about the politics of immigration and integration of Sweden.
As a last thing the Swedish government published a whole summary addressed to President Trump, with data written in English on the Swedish migratory policy, its crime statistics, its struggle to crime, to leave evidence on 'the simplistic and sometimes completely inexact' information given by the US President.
