Bolivian President Returns to His Country
07 de marzo de 2017, 18:07La Paz, Mar 7 (Prensa Latina) Bolivian President Evo Morales returned today to his country after undergoing treatment in Cuba for a problem with his vocal chords, related to manifestations of sinusitis and a viral infection.
Morales was welcomed at the airport in El Alto by Bolivian Vice President Alvaro Garcia Linera, and Presidential and Defense ministers, Rene Martinez and Reymi Ferreira, respectively.
The head of State revealed on Monday that he would return to Havana in early April to undergo a minor surgery on his throat.
Besides, he took a break from his treatment on Sunday to travel to Venezuela to participate in the activities to honor Hugo Chavez on the fourth anniversary of his death and in the 14th Extraordinary Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance of the Peoples of our Americas-People's Trade Agreement.
After returning to Cuba, he gave a media conference in that country on Monday and thanked the surprise visit that President Raul Castro paid him on Saturday at the hospital he was.
In the coming days, Morales will continue with the treatment established by the Cuban doctors and will also fulfill his agenda.
